Ingredients -
- 1 cup – Roop Laxmi Dalia
- 2 tbsps – Ghee
- 3 cups – Water
- 3 cups – Milk or add as required
- 3/4 cup – Sugar or add as per taste
- ½ tsp – Cardamom Powder
- 1/2 Cup – Dry Fruits (crushed)
- 8-10 – Saffron Strands (Kesar)
Cooking Directions -

In a sauce pan add Dalia and butter or ghee and roast it on medium low heat for 4 to 5 minutes or till it become light brown and gives roasted aroma.

Add water with roasted Dalia and let it cook for 10 to 15 minutes or until Dalia become tender and water is absorbed.

Add the milk to a pan and boil it for 10 minutes or till the milk reduces to half.

Keep stirring in between to incorporate the milk solids from the side.

Add cardamom powder, sugar, and chopped dry fruits and simmer for few minutes, turn the stove off.

Sweet Dalia is ready. Garnish it with chopped dry fruits and saffron strands (Kesar). Serve Sweet Dalia hot or at room temperature.
